50 FREE photocards from SeeHere.com!

If you haven't ordered Christmas cards yet, you have through Monday to get 50 FREE photo cards from SeeHere.com! I just created the card above and got 50 for free and only had to pay $3.19 in shipping! That's about $.06 per card! You can't even get them at Walmart for that price, and these are SOOO much more customizable. You can add multiple photos, text, graphics, etc. I had planned on creating my own this year with Photoshop, but when this deal came around, I couldn't pass it up. Not only did I save myself some money, I saved some time as well.
All you have to do to get your free cards is go to SeeHere.com and register or log-in. Once you do, go to "Photo Cards." Create your photo cards, save your project, then simply add 50 cards to your cart. Once at checkout, you will see a place to enter a promo code, where you will enter "freebies4mom-1109." That will take $24.50 off, making them free! All you pay is about $3 in shipping! I can't wait to get mine and send them out! I hope they look as good on paper as they do on my screen! Lol.
I will note that I did find the site a little slow at times. So, if you have a slow connection speed, it might take a while. I have fast cable and it still seemed to drag a bit. I also had to play around a bit when making my card because some of the features were hard to manage. Be sure to "Preview" your card before ordering. I previewed it and realized that my text looked funny, even though it didn't in the regular view. Any way, have fun and enjoy your 50 FREE photo cards!! Remember, you only have through 11/30 to order, so hurry!
Thanks Freebies4Mom!!

10% off your entire purchase at Michael's!

Go HERE for a printable coupon for 10% off your entire purchase at Michael's, valid Monday, Nov. 30th ONLY! It does include sale items, but there are some exclusions also (such as the Gypsy...darn). There are 5 other printable coupons there as well, including an additional 30% off your entire purchase of wall & tabletop frames, framed art, and display cases (sale items included), plus next week they will already be having Home Collection wall frames at 40% off! Should make for some great deals on frames! Frames are great to purchase for adding photos to to give as gifts to grandparents or really ANYone!

Michael's--One day only price-cut on the "Gypsy" by Cricut!

If you are a scrapbooker, seasoned or beginner, you've probably had your eye on the Gypsy by Cricut for a while now.

The Cricut Gypsy is a mobile scrapbooker’s dream come true – think of it as a full Cricut design studio right in the palm of your very own hands. Easy to hook up to the Cricut machine via a USB cable, the Cricut Gypsy is capable of storing up to 10,000 die cut designs from 4,000 cartridges. And the best part of all is the fact that you don’t even need a personal computer in order to start making professional quality die cut shapes, letters, symbols, and phrases for your scrapbooking or other crafting needs. All of the functionality of Cricut’s software is contained right here within this little handheld device.

This little device usually runs for $299 at Michael's, but November 30th, for ONE DAY ONLY, they will have it on sale for $239, PLUS November 30th is the LAST day to purchase and qualify for a $100 voucher to use at Cricut.com!! I have found the Gyspy for sale on Ebay for as low as $229 w/ free shipping, but am not sure if you can submit for the voucher when purchased from Ebay. (?) You need the store receipt to submit along with the UPC and rebate form, so I am not sure if an Ebay invoice would count as a receipt? I can't imagine why not, but you would have to contact Cricut to find out for sure.

Just wanted to pass this deal along in case you've had your eye on one!

I am taking a break from now through Thanksgiving. Just too much to do! I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by loved ones and that we all remember all that we have to be thankful for...

New $.55/2 Philadelphia cream cheese!

If you haven't already gotten your Philadelphia cream cheese at Albies this week (it's priced at $.88/ea WITH the in-ad coupon and only on the first two) The only coupon we had to go with it was the $1/3, so you were forced to buy a third for like $2.49 in order to use it, which made it not such a good deal. I was planning on just buying the two for $.88, but now Kraft just released some new printable coupons and one of them is for $.55 off of 2! PLUS, use a doubler, and now you will get two cream cheese packs for only $.66 or $.33/ea! That's a GREAT deal! Go HERE to print your coupon (there are also some other Kraft coupons available to print). Don't forget, you can print them twice per computer!

HIGH-value Dole fruit coupon!

Coupons.com just came out with a high-value $.50/1 any package of Dole Canned Fruit, Fruit Bowls, All Natural Fruit Jars or Frozen Fruit. If you use these on the canned fruit, you should be able to get a couple of cheap cans. If you go to Albies and use these with a double coupon, you may even be able to score some FREE fruit! (Anyone know the price of these this week?) You can help support my site by using my coupons.com coupon bar (at the top or on sides of page) to print your coupons. If the coupon is not visible for you, you can click "scroll coupons" until you find it, or, even easier, you can click "see all coupons" and it will list all available coupons. I am pretty excited about this month. If you remember, last month I decided to cut back my budget from $430/mo (or $100/week) to $365.50 (or $85/week). I am trying to slowly cut myself back and hope to work my way to $50/week. $50/week, all by itself, is an amazing feat...but you have to remember, I have a family of FIVE, including TWO in diapers (hopefully not for long!) and this includes EVERYTHING I buy to keep my household running.

Things that ARE included in my totals:
*Food (not including dining out)
*Diapers (for two kids)
*Formula (I breast feed, but supplement with formula)
*ALL cleaning supplies (air fresheners, household cleaners, laundry items, etc.)
*Toiletries (hair products, deodorant, feminine products, paper products, etc)
*Make-up/Cosmetics
*Medicine & health related items (non-prescription)
*Office Supplies (including school supplies)

Items NOT included in my totals:
*Any of the above items that are purchased with the sole intent of being a gift
*Clothing
*Dining out
*Prescription Meds
*Toys

Here is my breakdown of weekly spending:

:Week 1:
Total for items purchased: $219.57

Total OOP (out-of-pocket): $120.77

Total savings: $98.80 or 45%. That is SUPER low savings for me! :( However, I stocked up on my husband's favorite soda when it was at a great price and now hopefully won't have to buy more for quite a while. That stuff is expensive! This was just one of those times when I had to buy more to save more...

:Week 2:

Total for items purchased: $208.95

OOP:$108.71

Savings: $100.24 or 48%. Again, a super low savings week, but...I stocked up on a lot of great seasonal items (stuffing, chicken broth, sweetened condensed milk) that will last my family the rest of the year. I also purchased a lot of my Thanksgiving items at the end of this week.
:Week 3:

Total for items purchased: $218.98

OOP: $63.98

Savings: $155.00 or 71%. That's more like it!

:Week 4 (plus the extra two days at the end of the month):

Total for items purchased: $60.89

OOP: $23.12

Savings: $37.77 or 62% (I really didn't buy much this week, just the last minute stuff I needed for Thanksgiving and my parishables like milk, eggs, and bread)

The total for all of the items I purchased in November SHOULD have cost me $708.39.

I spent a total of $316.58 OOP for November, however, I also received $21.26 in rebates, so my adjusted OOP is $295.32. I saved $391.81 or 55%! That really is a pretty low percentage of savings for me, as I generally save at least 65% and usually closer to 75% or more. However, this month, as I said, I stocked up on some things that will last me all year, PLUS that included a lot of items that were not necessarily at a rock-bottom price, but that I had to purchase for Thanksgiving dishes I was making.

Even though my percentage of savings wasn't as great as usual, I still came in under budget! My budget for this month was $365.50, so I came in $70.18 under budget! Woohoo! So far I'm doing really well maintaining and even staying far below my budget. I also saved $3.43 on gas by using Albertson's Gas Rewards.

Alright, so I know I can stay under $365.50 for the month (avg. $85/week), so now, for December, it's time to slash it again and see if I can do it! My budget for the month of December will be $301.00 or $70/week. I'm inching my way closer to being at $50/week!

Walmart Trip 11/22

At Walmart I was able to stock up on some items that are at their lowest price (being that it's that time of year) and now I have a year's supply. It may seem excesive, but these items do not expire for a year or more, so I got what my family will use over the course of the year until they are on sale again next year. The stuffing, for example, I got 16 boxes for $.78 each. That seems like a lot of stuffing, but that's only one box per month for the next year, plus two for Thanksgiving and two for Christmas. Soon this stuff will go back up to $1.97/box, where it will remain until Thanksgiving time next year, and I would have to pay that just to buy it until Thanksgiving next year. So, over the course of a year, if I bought the same amount of stuffing, I would pay $19.04 MORE! I know, that may not seem like a lot over a whole year, but that's just ONE item from my grocery list. If I were to pay about $19.04 more for EVERY item I regularly buy by having to buy it at regular price...well, you can see how much it adds up! That is why part of what makes this system so great is stockpiling items when they are at their LOWEST price! This is an item I didn't even have coupons for, but was still able to just shave about $19.04 off of my yearly grocery budget. Where do I store all of that stuffing? Well...that's TBD. :)
Here is a list of what I bought:
12 cans Carnation evaporated milk
3 - Welch's Sparkling Juice cocktail
16 boxes Stovetop stuffing
12 cans Eagle sweetened condensed milk
18 cans Swanson chicken broth
1 can French's french-fried onions
These items would normally cost $99.81. By combining sales and coupons, I stocked up on all of these items for...$41.83. I saved 57.98, or 58%! Beyond all of the saving I did...I now have a YEAR'S supply of stuffing, chicken broth, evaporated milk, and sweetened condensed milk. I will not have to buy these items until they go back to their lowest price next year. Not only that, but at any given time, if a recipe calls for these items, I have them on hand. I just need to go into my stockpile and get them. I LOVE that!

Albertson's Trip 11/22

See if you can guess how much I paid just by looking at the picture:

Here is a list of all of the items if that helps:

6-Diamond chopped walnuts (8oz)
10lb bag of potatoes
5-Dannon Danimals drinks/crushcups
1-Albertson's graham cracker crust
1-Florida's Natural orange juice
1-12ct King Hawaiian rolls
1 bunch of celery
6 cans Campbell's cooking soups
5 cans Albertson's olives
2 cans Lindsay's olives
2 Townhouse Flipsides crackers
1 qt Coffee-mate liquid creamer (can't wait to try the Pumpkin Spice flavor!)
1 pint Coffee-mate liquid creamer

So, there ya go. Now can you guess how much I spent? I bet you're wrong!

I spent $6.27 plus tax! :) The total it SHOULD have cost me is $84.29. I saved $78.02 or 93%!! I did 6 transactions using three doublers in each transaction. I will not take the time to list all of the coupons, as you can find them on the GrocerySmarts list HERE. I did use a raincheck from a previous week on the walnuts and on the Danimals. I also used $10 in catalinas from the General Mills promo a couple of weeks ago. It pays to use coupons!!!

Walgreen's 11/22-11/28

If you are new to Walgreen's shopping and want to learn the ins and outs, click HERE for my Walgreen's 101 page.

Don't forget about THIS printable coupon for $5 off your purchase of $25! It is valid Sun (11/22) and Mon (11/23) ONLY! That will make all of the below deals that much better. The thing to remember about the $5 off $25 coupon is that you must reach $25 AFTER all manufacturer AND Walgreen's coupons. In order to make the most of this coupon you will want to keep your transaction right at $25 and try not to go over more than a dollar. That means you will want to really take care in planning your transaction. You don't to get done ringing up and have your total be $24.99 and not be able to use the $5 off coupon! (I would suggest finding a small clearance item as a filler to have on hand just in case. Then, if your total winds up being just shy of $25, you can add that filler so you don't wind up having to grab a $1 candy bar or something. Also, if your total is above $25, you can just hand the cashier the item and tell them you don't want it after all. Better safe than sorry! Also, keep in mind the coupon to item ratio when planning your transaction! (I give more info about the coupon:item in my Walgreens 101 page)

Purchase 10 participating products (below) and get $10 back!

Nabisco Crackers (7oz - 16.5oz)

This offer is for purchases made between 10/01 and 11/30 and purchases do NOT have to be on a single receipt. You can purchase them in multiple trips/transactions. There is a limit of one request per household. (Go HERE to learn more)

In addition to this great rebate, go HERE to print a $1/2 Nabisco cracker product 5oz-16oz. There were also a bunch of Nabisco coupons in a Nabisco Savings booklet you may have received this summer.

Stacking coupons...

First of all, I just have to say that when at a store, do NOT just throw away those silly little coupons that print out after your receipt sometimes. On a recent trip to Target I was able to score a $5 off any 12.5 or 23.4oz Enfamil Premium powder formula coupon. Now, THAT in and of itself is great, but the even cooler thing about this coupon is that it is a Target store coupon, which means it can be stacked!

The term "stacking" refers to using a store coupon AND a manufacturer coupon on the same item in a purchase in order to save even more money. Now, if you can, then, pair those coupons with an item that is on SALE, you will really maximize your savings! So, in the pic below you can see my $5 off catalina coupon that printed out on a recent Target shopping trip. Below it is a manufacturer coupon for $5 off that I printed from HERE.

I can now go to Target and use BOTH coupons on the same item to get $10 off a can of formula! How awesome is that? The coupons don't expire until 12/21 and 12/31, so I have a few weeks to see if this item will go on sale at Target. I do not have to rush out to buy it, which is good because I might be able to save myself another $1-$2 by being patient. They are regularly priced at about $14, so if they go on sale for $12 or $13, I will pay only $2-$3 for a 12.5oz can of formula. We ALL know how expensive this stuff is!

I just wanted to show you another way to maximize savings. I also wanted to remind you to be conscious of those little coupons that print out. Before I started couponing, I used to just throw them away! Yikes! I can't even imagine ever going back to my old ways...

Oh, and don't forget to go print your $5/1 Enfamil coupon HERE. After printing, be sure to click your browser's back button three times to print it a second time! If you don't have a baby who drinks formula, consider printing it off for someone you know who does! These coupons don't come around often, and with the high price of formula, I'm sure they would be very appreciative!

Hidden coupons

Do you ever purchase the little snack bags by TGI Fridays? If so, you may have been overlooking some great coupons! I don't personally buy these, but my dad bought one from work the other day out of the vending machine and happened to notice that there was a $5 off $15 purchase coupon printed on the back of the bag! I thought that was pretty cool and something I NEVER would have noticed. (No, unfortunately, I am one of those people who NEVER looks at food labels. I'll eat just about anything and everything, even if it's not so good for me. :-/ Lol) Any way, so if you happen to ever get one of these, make sure to check the back of the bag so that you don't accidentally throw away a great coupon! :)

I am doing all of my shopping this weekend and now know what to expect. Note that the list includes stores that might not be available in your area and that not every store is listed for each item. Still a great tool, though! If you know the price of any of these items at a particular store not listed, feel free to include it in the comments section!

Walgreen's has released another $5 off of a purchase of $25 or more coupon. It's valid Sunday 11/22 and Monday 11/23 ONLY and remember, your total has to be $25 AFTER all manufacturer and store coupons. Hopefully there will be some good Walgreen's deals this upcoming week to use it on, as this week there wasn't much I was excited about. :(

New Facebook Fan page!

Alright, so I had been debating creating a Facebook Fan Page for a while now, but thought it would be even more work than I already have created for myself with this blog (which I absolutely love, so it's not really WORK, mind you. Lol), but when my husband mentioned that I should do it, it was just the push I needed to get it done. So, yesterday I took a minute to get one started, and already I have 29 fans! Granted, those are mostly my friends and family, but hey, it's a start! :) That's what this blog was started for! If it continues to grow, well, that's just icing on the cake.

Any way, so if you are a follower of this blog, but haven't yet become a fan of Ali's Coupon Adventures on Facebook, go HERE now to become one! There is also a fun little widget on the left side column (you may have to scroll down a little bit to see it).

As for the fan page, it will be used in conjunction with this blog to bring you the best up-to-the minute deals and matchups. A lot of the stuff I post on the fan page will just be links back to posts I make here, but there will be some things I will only post on my Facebook page as I just may not have time to do a whole blog post about it, but will want to alert you of the deal. So, even if you are a follower of my blog, you will want to also be a fan so that you don't miss out on anything!

UPDATE! (COUPON AVAILABLE!) $5 Rebate when you buy a Butterball fresh/frozen turkey and Disney's "Santa Buddies"

**UPDATE!** HERE is the $10 off coupon I had a feeling would be coming! It's for $10 off the blu-ray movie! It's reported that Target will have this priced at $19.99, so only $9.99 after the coupon and even less if you take advantage of either of the rebates below! Thanks Hip2Save for the head's up on the coupon!

My friend Mandy just alerted me to a new rebate available! When you purchase a Butterball Turkey (fresh or frozen) AND Disney's movie "Santa Buddies" on dvd or blu-ray (out November 24th), you can submit THIS $5 rebate! To make this deal even better, be sure to go HERE and print your coupon for $2 off a Butterball fresh or frozen whole turkey!

Purchase for the turkey must be made between 11/1/09-2/28/10 and for the movie must be made be made between 11/24/09 - 2/28/10, but do NOT have to be on the same receipt. If you buy a turkey now, before the movie comes out, hang onto the receipt until the movie comes out and you buy it, as you can send in both separate receipts. Be sure to read the details of the rebate to make sure you follow all instructions exactly!

But wait! To make this even better, if you have not already submited for the $5 rebate through Kernel Seasons (I used mine on the Snow White blu-ray movie), then you can submit for that, too, when you buy Santa Buddies on dvd or blu-ray PLUS two Kernel Seasons products! Go HERE to read the details and print your rebate form.

I'd be willing to bet that there will also be a coupon coming out for this movie, as there have been with every other qualifying Kernel Seasons movie (Snow White, Tinkerbell, and UP)! I'll keep you posted if I find anything out.

If you'd like to read my page about submitting for rebate offers, click HERE.

FREE I Can't Believe It's Not Butter sticks!

I had been hearing about this deal at Fred Meyer, and now it appears the catalina is printing at Albertson's too! Right now the I Can't Believe it's Not Butter tubs and sticks are $1.99 at Albies. Just use the $1/1 Sticks from RP 11/15. There is also a $2 OYNSO catalina printing for every 2 you buy! You can also buy as many as you want in a transaction and you'll get a $2cat for each. So if you buy 6, you will get three $2 cats! Your transaction will look like this:

Buy 2 (or however many, just in increments of two) ICBINB sticks - $3.98 (1.99/ea)
Use two $1/1 (RP 11/15) (subtracts $2)
Pay $1.98
Get back $2 OYNSO
Final price: FREE when you factor in the catalina!

There is also a coupon for $.50/1 any ICBINB (RP 11/15) if you want to get the tubs instead, it will make them only $.50!

Who does this?

Please, please, please people...do NOT become one of those crazy coupon ladies who does THIS...

Last week (or the week before...whenever it was) when I bought frosting, you can see where there clearly was a coupon attached to the frosting tub. Someone decided that it was their right to remove that peelie coupon, despite not purchasing this item. Luckily for me, I wasn't planning on using the coupon, as I had a higher-value coupon from the paper, but what if I had been?
What if I was just a regular shopper (as in NOT a couponer) and I had just come in to buy some frosting and was gipped out of my coupon? Is this wrong and rude or what? I just can't believe that you have to tell grown-ups not to do stuff like this! GRR....I guess this is a sensitive spot for me, but it just flabbergasts me. Please don't do this. It's just unethical. People who do this are the ones that give couponers a bad name! Ok. I'm done now. :)

My Walmart trip...

This was a trip I did last week, just hadn't gotten around to posting it. I had to use up some coupons that were expiring that I didn't want to miss out on (like the $3/1 high-value Snuggle coupon and the $3/1 Pedialyte) and got a few other things while I was there.

I got the following items: 4-Snuggle liquid fabric softener
2-Snuggle dryer sheet 120ct
6-Endust Free cleaner
2-Pedialyte liqud drink
6-Reynold's Slow Cooker liners
6-Heinz jarred gravy (I had never had anything but homemade gravy before, but this is actually pretty good!)
4-Birdseye frozen veggies
2-Ronzoni Smart Taste pasta
1-Cakemate candle

Total these items should have cost me is $81.80. I paid only $31.20. I saved $50.60 or 62%! Not too bad considering none of these items were on sale. I simply used high-value coupons that I didn't want to let go to waste!

Holiday Gift of Savings coming at Rite Aid!

Just got an email from RiteAid about a new program starting Nov. 22nd (and running through Dec. 24th). If you participated in the Fall Gift of Savings program (which I just received my gift card this last week), you are already familiar with how this works. The more you spend, the more you get back. Last time it was if you spent up to $50, you get a $5 gift card. If you spent between $50 and $100, you get a $10 gift card. If you spent over $100, you got a $20 gift card. I am assuming this one will work the same way. So...if you shop at RiteAid, remember that all of your purchases qualify toward your Gift of Savings total, so you'll want to enter EVERY receipt, even if you are not getting back a Single Check Rebate for any of the items.

More details about this program to come on Nov 22nd HERE.

If you are new to RiteAid shopping and am not sure what I'm talking about, go HERE to read my RiteAid 101 page.

As always, I suggest you use your coupon/freebie email address!

Albertson's Printable Shopping List - 11/18-11/26

HERE is this week's Albertson's printable shopping list!

This list will run through Thanksgiving, so you get a couple of extra days. That sure makes Thanksgiving and Black Friday a little easier not having to worry about Albies. I am really not seeing anything that's getting me excited. Perhaps if there are doubles it would make it a little more interesting, but no word on that yet. :(

I won't be posting an Albies trip this week, as the only thing I bought was the Pop-Secret popcorn that was $.50 for the 3pk. I went for the pie and ice cream, also, but on Sunday they were out. Then, a friend let me know that they would have more at 9pm last night, so I went. I got there at about 9:30 and they were already out! They said they got a FULL shipment in and they were gone within 15-20 minutes! Holy cow. Lol. I was pretty bummed. Luckily they had decided to give out a raincheck for one set per person (which they hadn't been doing earlier in the week) so that was good. As I was checking out the lady ahead of me had like 20 pies...I was like...uh, seriously? You couldn't share? Grr...oh well. Perhaps I'd have done the same thing if I had the freezer space. Lol.

Any way, check out the list. It's pretty boring if you ask me. :-/
