I bought:
4 - Velveeta shells & cheese cups
1 - Theraflu bottle
1 - Rembrandt whitening toothpaste
1 - Colgate 360
2 - candy
Total should have been $19.03
I used $2/1 Theraflu here: IE or Firefox, paired with the $2/1 Theraflu Q from the Health Savings booklet (found in the store at the registers, this is a store coupon so it can be stacked with the manufacturer coupon for the same item), 2 BOGO Velveeta (SS 8/9) , plus the in-ad Q for the Velveeta cups, and used the 15% off purchase coupon that I mentioned earlier that was good TODAY only (I could not find the $1/1 Rembrandt coupon). I then paid with two $5 RR from last week, bringing the total I actually paid out of pocket to $.64 (plus tax)! BUT, then I also received back a $5 RR for the Rembrant, a $3 RR for the Theraflu, a $1 RR for the Velveeta cups, and a $3 RR for the toothbrush (so $12 total)! I can now use these towards my next purchase on anything in the store that I want.
To maxamize your Walgreens savings, you definitely want to try to "roll" your RR's by buying new items with RR's attached each week and paying with the RR's you earned from the week before (like I did, so that I only had to pay $.64 plus tax) That way you're paying very little to nothing out of pocket...
Hi Ali!!
ReplyDeleteSo, I have done my research, started a stockpile of coupons to be able to participate and am headed out today to make my first visit to Walgreen's! I'll post again, or link to my blog when I get home and let you know what my savings are!
Thanks so much for your help!!!
