Ok, so I don't have a lot of time, so I have to give you the super-quick, abridged version. This week Kmart has their Playskool toys Buy 2, get 1 free! Remember all of those AWESOME Playskool coupons you can print HERE at Coupons.com?? Well, pair those coupons with this sale and score some VERY sweet deals! Remember, you can use a coupon for ALL items, including the FREE item! So, here's an example:
Buy 3 Playskool Kota Hathlings toys at $19.99/ea = $59.97.
Minus $19.99 for the B2G1 = $39.98
Use 3 $5/1 Hatchlings coupons from Coupons.com (or they were also in a previous week's insert, anyone know which one?) to take off $15
Pay $24.98! That's $8.32 per toy!
Or...
Buy 2 Mr. Potato Head Silly Suitcase toys at $16.99/ea = $33.98
Buy 1 Activity Ball at $14.99 = $48.97
Minus $14.99 for the B2G1 = $33.98
Use 2 $5/1 Silly Suitcases and 1 $5/1 Activity Ball to take off $15
Pay $18.98 or $6.33 per toy!
Or...
Buy 3 Mr. Potato Heads (they have lots of different kinds) at $7.99/ea = $23.97
Minus $7.99 for B2G1 = $15.98
Use 3 $2/1 MPH to take off $6.00
Pay $9.98 or $3.33 per toy!
There are two things to keep in mind. First, in order to get the most for your money, you want the three toys in your B2G1 group to be as close to each other in price as possible (if they were all the same price, that would make for the best deal, but that's not always possible). For example, you wouldn't want to buy a $16.99 toy, a $11.99 toy, and a $4.99 toy. You would only get $4.99 off for the free item, which wouldn't make for as good of savings overall. So, what I did, I figured out my groups of three (B2G1) that I wanted to be together by how close in price they were. One group had a $24.99, $22.99, and $21.99 toy, another group had three $19.99 toys. Another group had two $16.99 toys and a $14.99 toy. The last group had an $11.99 toy, an $11.49 toy, and a $10.99 toy. By doing that, you are just increasing your savings.
The other thing to keep in mind is that you will have to group them in your groups of three at the register in order for the right amount to come off of each group. Otherwise the register will automatically take off all of the lowest amounts! That would DEFINITELY decrease your savings! So I made sure I put them in the groups of three at checkout and the cashier was really helpful in making sure the right amounts came off. Then, at the end, I handed over all of my coupons and watched the total come down!
Alright, I have to go, but I'll try to add more to this later! Just wanted to let you know of the great deals that could be scored at Kmart! You might want to hurry...not sure how long it will all last!
