Albertson's Printable Shopping List - 11/18-11/26

HERE is this week's Albertson's printable shopping list!

This list will run through Thanksgiving, so you get a couple of extra days. That sure makes Thanksgiving and Black Friday a little easier not having to worry about Albies. I am really not seeing anything that's getting me excited. Perhaps if there are doubles it would make it a little more interesting, but no word on that yet. :(

I won't be posting an Albies trip this week, as the only thing I bought was the Pop-Secret popcorn that was $.50 for the 3pk. I went for the pie and ice cream, also, but on Sunday they were out. Then, a friend let me know that they would have more at 9pm last night, so I went. I got there at about 9:30 and they were already out! They said they got a FULL shipment in and they were gone within 15-20 minutes! Holy cow. Lol. I was pretty bummed. Luckily they had decided to give out a raincheck for one set per person (which they hadn't been doing earlier in the week) so that was good. As I was checking out the lady ahead of me had like 20 pies...I was like...uh, seriously? You couldn't share? Grr...oh well. Perhaps I'd have done the same thing if I had the freezer space. Lol.

Any way, check out the list. It's pretty boring if you ask me. :-/

Today is Christmas at my house!

Ok, not really, but it feels like it. I opened up my mailbox and THIS is what I found! (this is not even including the regular bills/mail stuff. I don't know HOW my mail lady fit it all in there)

Speaking of rebates, I just got my $10 Kellogg's Fuel for School rebate today! See! They DO come! The above magazines are all ones I have gotten for FREE or almost free through Best Deal Magazines or RewardsGold. I also got a ton of Pantene coupons from VocalPoint (if you are not already a member, you MUST go HERE and sign up! They send all kinds of freebies and coupons at random, it's awesome!) I also received a coupon for a FREE Marzetti product from participating in a survey recently, a sample of Dunkin' Donuts coffee, and a 20% off any item coupon for Bed, Bath, & Beyond! Wow...what a great day. :)

Submitting for Rebates

We've been having so many rebate opportunities lately that I thought I would take some time to post a "rebate refresher" post.

Ah...rebates. Everybody hates rebates. It's a pain to fill them out. It's a pain making sure you have everything you need, exactly the way they want it. It's a pain taking the time to put it in an envelope, address it, put a stamp on it, and take it to the mail box. It's a pain to wait weeks and HOPE that it shows up!

Well, that's how I feel about rebates sometimes, but now that I've been couponing, I have found that rebates are EVERYwhere and it's FREE MONEY just waiting to be had! I try to keep this in mind when I'm taking the time to fill one out and send it in.

To date, since starting couponing a few months ago, I have recieved about $70 in rebates and am still awaiting $20 as we speak! I find it's very worth it! There are a few things to keep in mind when submiting for rebates...

1.) Make sure you purchase the exact items required by the rebate. Sounds easy enough, but believe me, sometimes they make it confusing! Also pay attention to purchase date requirements. You will usually have to buy them buy a certain ending date, but sometimes you must also purchase them after a certain start date. Usually you have a period of time after the end date of when you must purchase the item by and the time you must actually have the rebate submission postmarked. Make sure you get it out by the postmark date requirement!

2.) Check and double-check that you have everything the way it states on the rebate form. Usually they will want you to circle the purchase price on your receipt, so make sure you do that if requested. Make sure you have copied the address correctly on the envelope.

3.) COPIES, COPIES, COPIES! Make a copy of what you are sending in. If it requires more than one page, staple them together so that they do not lose each other. I always make copies of the envelope after it's addressed, also, just so that if any difficulties arise, I can refer to the address I sent it to.

4.) Once you have made copies, make sure EVERYTHING makes it back into the envelope before you seal it! I have sealed an envelope and not realized that the tiny little cutout proof-of-purchase had fallen out. Luckily I found it before I mailed it off!

5.)Make note of the length of time you should receive your rebate by and write the estimated date on your copies. For example, if the rebate says "allow 6-8 weeks" I would write the date 8 weeks from now. That way, if I do not receive my rebate by then, I know I need to call and find out what's up.

6.)Put your rebates in a place where they can be kept all together so that you do not lose track of any of them! For me, I keep a sheet protector in the back of my coupon binder to stick them in. That way, they are not in the way, but I know where they are for easy reference. I also have a separate sheet protector for rebate forms I have printed but have not completed or submitted for, yet. Again, it makes for very easy reference to find them!

That's all! Just be patient and it will come! It feels great to open your mailbox and see a check with your name on it! Remember, there are all kinds of rebates out there! You can find them online, in the newspaper inserts, in the store, in/on the product...you name it! Take the time to fill them out! If you have any questions, feel free to post a comment!

Oral-B CrossAction Power toothbrushes only $2 at Walmart!

I was headed to Walmart to buy my husband a new Crest SpinBrush, as his was toast, thinking how much I truly hated buying stuff nowadays when it's not on sale, when I got super lucky! At my Walmart they had the SpinBrushes marked down from $7.98 to $6, plus I had a $1/1 coupon from a previous SmartSource insert, making it only $5. I thought that was pretty neat. Then, however, I spotted something even BETTER! The Oral-B CrossAction power toothbrushes were marked down from $6.97 to $5, but for this one I actually had $3/1 coupons from a previous PG insert!! I was able to snag these for only $2! They also had the replacement 2-pk of heads marked down to $4, plus with a $1/1 Q I was able to snag these for $3 ea or $1.50/ refill head.

I thought that was pretty cool, considering this is something that I was generally spending $6.50 on when we needed them, as I haven't come across a great sale for them, yet. Not to say it won't happen, just hasn't yet. :) Any way, just thought I would let you know so that if this is something your family uses, you can keep an eye out.

Mr. Potato Head Spud Buds Pets--only $2.99 at Fred Meyer!

I noticed that in this week's Fred Meyer ad that the Mr. Potato Head Spud Buds Pets, which are originally $10.99, are marked down to only $7.99. Pair this with the $5/1 IP from the coupon bar at the top of the page under the header or in my side bar on either side of the page. (If the coupon is not a currently visible coupon, just click "scroll coupons" until you find it, or click "see all coupons.") Or you can go HERE to print it, but you'll have to scroll through the pages to find the coupon. Also, if you already used these coupons last month, they reset this month, so you should be able to print them again (if you haven't already)! You should be able to print them a total of two times. By using the coupon, you can score this for just $2.99! If your Fred Meyer is out or you don't have a Fred Meyer nearby, take the ad to Walmart or Target and price match! Remember, you must have the actual print ad with you, as a copied or printed page will NOT work.
Remember to keep your eyes out at Target for the Spud Buds christmas edition that can be found in the seasonal section. They are priced at just $5.99 and by using this coupon, you can snag them for just $.99! That's IF you can find them! They've been out the last couple of times I've gone there.

Go see A Christmas Carol in 3D for FREE!

Last night when we were at Walmart, my husband alerted me to a really awesome deal! It's funny when your husband says "Hey, babe! You HAVE to blog about THIS!" :) I guess he's crossing over to the thrifty side. Haha!

Any way, so, at Walmart they have a few select dvd's and blu-ray movies with a coupon for a FREE (up to $12) movie ticket to go see "A Christmas Carol" in 3D! I am not sure of what all of the titles are, but there are several different Disney movies. We wound up picking up Wall-e and National Treasure on blu-ray. Each were $19.99, but each of them had a $12 movie ticket coupon on it! I think the 3D movies at our theatre are $13 or something like that, so we may have to make the difference, but I thought that was still a great deal!

However, you can make your deal even BETTER if you are able to print THIS coupon for $5 ANY Disney blu-ray movie. I was unable to get it to print. I tried and it said that I had already printed the coupon the allowed number of times, even though I hadn't printed it at all. A reader said that she tried to print it and got a really long "Please wait..." message. When that happens, I generally find that if I switch browsers it works just fine. For example, if I'm working in Firefox I'll switch to Internet Explorer or vice versa. Sometimes it is a link for one or the other and will not work inside the opposite browser. Has anyone else had any luck printing it?

If you ARE able to print it (and don't forget to try hitting your browser's back button three times to possibly be able to print it twice!) then you could wind up using two and paying only $29.98 for TWO Disney blu-ray movies and TWO 3D movie tickets!

Thanks Babe! :)
